We are now uploading our logs to Club Log on a daily basis, internet conditions permitting. If you are not in the log, please feel free to work us again as an insurance contact.

We continue to make every effort to work North America with a focus on the West Coast at your sunrise and sunset. It appears that the best times are between 1400-1500 zulu and 0300-0400 zulu. We are going to focus on 20 meters CW at these times for the next several days.

As you know, propagation has declined in the past several days, which makes our job extremely difficult, however we continue to call CQ in an effort to find an opening.

Please know that we are making every effort to satisfy those who need YI.

Thank you,

The YI9PSE DXpedition Team.

The YI9PSE continues to operate five stations on SSB, CW and RTTY. Some of you have inquired as to why we suddenly dissapear at times. Our location has frequent power failues. There is a large diesel generator but no UPS system. We have to restart all rigs and amplifiers each time the power goes out.

Some of you have asked about our plan for Club Log. We are attempting to upload however our Satellite internet connection is very slow and oftn fails. We will keep trying to upload to Club Log.

Thank you,

The YI9PSE DXpedition Team.

The YI9PSE Kurdistan 2010 DXpedition team continues to move forward with our planning. We are very pleased to receive the support of the NCDXF, INDEXA, PCARS, TCDXA and many individual amateurs. We will arrive in Kurdistan on April 2nd and we will depart on April 12th, 2010. We hope to have a signal on the air late in the evening of the 2nd, and we must tear down our station on the evening of April 11th. We will have ten day visas issued by the Kurdistan Regional Government.

Some of you have written to ask if we will operate in the US General Class portion of the bands. The answer is Yes! You can check the latest cluster spots for our operating frequencies here: http://www.dxwatch.com/dxped/YI9PSE/

We will regularly check propagation to the US West Coast, KH6, ZL, VK and JA. We will regularly ask for those stations as we know how difficult it is to reach YI.

Some of you have written to ask if we can do six meter EME. Unfortunately we are very limited in the amount of equipment that we can bring. We will not be able to bring the equipment required to do six meter EME.

Thank you for your interest and support in our operation.

Sincerely,

The YI9PSE DXpedition Team.
